O 7MM CLASS 20 TINSLEY NAMES
| £10.99/£7.99 |
To complete our Tinsley name offerings for O-gauge 7mm, we have the three Class 20 engines, each from the first 1957 built batch fitted with disc headcodes. Hand painted names were applied along with white Tinsley roses and 41-A shed plates.
All three engines took part in the legendary "Three to the Sea!" railtour, from Sheffield Midland to Brighton, run by the Class Twenty Society on 2nd May, 1987.

Headboards from the "Three To The Sea!" tour are listed in our Precision Labels range in the Southern section, see packs WL/L60.
20030 and 20064 were named in March of 1987, "River Rother" and "River Sheaf" respectively. They ran the "Stilton & Branston Ploughman" railtour on July 11th, 1987, and both appeared at Basingstoke railshow in that September. In the BG green with grey roof and small BR arrows livery, Sadly both were cut up for scrap in 1991.

20118 was given the unofficial name of "River Don" on 29th April, 1987. In modern Railfreight grey livery with the large side arrow, at that time carrying a painted Railfreight branding. The engine eventually made it to preservation, via the Thornaby depot with an official change to a cast nameplate "Saltburn-by-the-Sea", added kingfisher logo, and also a cast Railfreight plate. The South Devon Diesel Traction Ltd website has more history on the engine.

We present packs to recreate each engine which include:
- Three sets of decals - one spare,
- Using clear waterslide film backing,
- All the details to re-name and re-number a model.
For 20118, the special wider large side arrows are presented as separate decal packs.
The only other thing you need when doing a complete re-paint are the overhead warning flash plates, sold separately as decals or labels. See L103A in the Precision Labels range Various section for plates with screws. D3-A are the stick-on-type of warnings sold as Precision Decals under the Stock section.
Simply cut roughly around the transfers, soak in water for less than a minute until the clear film floats off the backing, and slide on to the model. Remember clear film decals work best on glossy surfaces. When dry, we recommend you varnish seal the details to protect them.
