D38-A/.../J     HARRY NEEDLE RAILROAD COMPANY £6.99/£5.99/£4.99 The Harry Needle Railroad Company (HNRC) is perhaps one of the smallest modern spot-hire companies. Based at Barrow Hill Engine Shed in Derbyshire, the company is also a scrap dealer, and has dismantled many railway vehicles, either on site, or at its yard in Kingsbury. Most of it's engines run in the colours of the relevant hiring operator. However, three Class 08 and three Class 37 engines ran in the company grey and orange livery - a sort of reverse-Dutch scheme. 08507, currently on hire to Virgin Trains, and 08818 "Molly" are still in the HNRC colours. 08943 gained a brighter yelow and white version of the HNRC livery in 2010. The nameplate for 37087 features a Vulcan plane, while that for 08818 has a paw print of "Molly", Harry Needle's dog. The lettering details are printed on clear film waterslide decal media in packs sufficient to make all three engines of a given class: Two different designs of the "HNRC" lettering logo, Company address and former web site details, Engine numbers and data panels, Blue stars for the two Class 37s fitted for electro-pneumatic multiple working. These details are available in both 4mm OO-scale and 2mm N-gauge versions.
