K5      G-SCALE CHAIN-LINK FENCING £26.99 G-scale garden railways are generally large and creating realistic scenery can be rather difficult, as there are nowhere near as many products available as there are for other scales. Flexible modern fencing is something we have not seen anywhere else, so we made our own! Suitable for the wide range of different scales that fall under the name G-Scale: 10mm Gauge-1, 1:29th, 1:32nd, 16mm,... We can supply 3m lengths of approximately 15cm tall black plastic chain-link fence, with 20 metal fence-posts each 22cm long with a curved over top. The metal poles can be threaded through the mesh of the fencing at any point along it, providing for completely flexible positioning. The mesh is fully weatherproof and can be easily cut to make multiple lengths of fence. Around 10cm of the posts protude from the bottom of the assembled fence line to facilitate securing the fence in to the ground - for example in to a lawn, gaps between patio flagstones, etc.. Here's a short section of fence shown on our own layout on a patio with our Aristocraft G-Scale 1:29th Class 66 which has been re-painted and decorated with our decals. There's LGB and Marklin buffer-stops, but with no other scenic products this model fence really creates a setting. We also have fence where our track goes on to the lawn to protect points from damage when cutting the grass, and retain ballast stone chippings. We thread two of the supplied fence-posts at the start and end of the fencing, with the rest of the metal poles loose for you to place as required. The plastic will easily bend and stay in place to complete the assembly. This item is heavier and larger than our other wares and so there are additional postage charges. Where more than one length of fencing is ordered, each additional length will incur another £2.50 P&P within the U.K..
