Site resdesign: New page
This is a new page added as part of the 2010 site redesign, see homepage for details.
Whilst working on the redesign I will endeavour to avoid broken links and blank pages, however there will be a transition period during which the same information may be presented on more than one page.

This page details my 1n20 rolling stock. I started this some time ago, and in truth have not made any further progress on it for some time, but have included it on the site for completeness and because I do plan to do more work on it over time.

1n20 is the term I use to represent rolling stock built to a scale of 1:32 - otherwise known as 1 scale - and running on track of 16.5mm gauge to represent a prototype of 20" gauge.

I decide to build in this scale/gauge combination because I wanted to try building to a larger scale than I had used previously. 1:32 is significantly larger than O scale, and this would also allow me to use some of the many detail parts avaialable for military modellers in the very similar scale of 1:35.

Although there were a few actual examples of 20" gauge railways around the world, the stock I am building is completely freelance and merely sets out to capture the character of an American 20" gauge line rather than attempting to accurately portray any particular line.
